David Abednego Cup
Celebrating Archery, Community & Excellence
The David Abednego Cup is an annual archery competition created through a collaboration between the Virgin Islands Field Archery Federation (VIFAF) and Mr. David Abednego of Harbour Chambers.
Mr. Abednego developed an affinity for the sport of archery and recognized the value it brings to the Virgin Islands community. His interest in the sport led to a partnership with VIFAF to establish a competition that would encourage participation, promote excellence, and provide archers in the Virgin Islands with an opportunity to compete in a professionally organized event.
The inaugural David Abednego Cup was held in 2025, marking the beginning of what VIFAF hopes will become a lasting tradition within the Virgin Islands archery community.

The Competition
The David Abednego Cup brings together archers from across the Virgin Islands to compete in a structured tournament environment while celebrating the growth of archery in the territory.
The competition provides an opportunity for archers of different ages, experience levels and shooting styles to test their skills, compete for medals and championships, and build relationships within the archery community.
The tournament also serves as an important part of VIFAF’s efforts to develop competitive archery and create opportunities for Virgin Islands athletes to prepare for regional, international and world-level competition.
A Growing Tradition
Since its first competition in 2025, the David Abednego Cup has become an important event on the VIFAF competition calendar.
Each year, the Cup provides an opportunity to:
- Promote and develop archery in the Virgin Islands
- Give local archers a professionally organized competitive experience
- Encourage youth participation in the sport
- Recognize achievement across different age groups and shooting styles
- Build a stronger local archery community
- Prepare athletes for regional and international competition
- Celebrate the dedication of athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters
David Abednego Cup History
2025 — Inaugural Competition
The first David Abednego Cup was held in 2025, establishing the foundation for an annual competition dedicated to the growth and development of archery in the Virgin Islands.
2026 — Second Annual David Abednego Cup
The second annual David Abednego Cup continues the tradition established in 2025, bringing together Virgin Islands archers for another weekend of competition, sportsmanship and celebration of the sport.

The David Abednego Cup represents more than medals and scores. It is a partnership between sport and community.
Through the vision of Mr. David Abednego and the work of VIFAF, the Cup creates a platform where athletes can challenge themselves, young archers can gain competitive experience, and the wider community can experience the discipline, precision and excitement of archery.
